Boat Show

The worlds largest boat and water sport show.
Less visitors (someone told me 30%) made it much more relaxing for us to walk through checking out the luxury around, to our surprise this year even the exhibitors of the mega yachts been (almost) friendly (to us).
Of course the diving hall was fun, meeting up with old buddies from around the world, the guys from Orca Reisen - Nik of course in the surfer hall, at Schöner Tauchen even Uwe did not show his signs of "messe-stress" (only downer: where is the Becks at 6 pm???), Bill Acker of Manta Ray Resort came all the way with Jan from Yap Micronesia promoting his famous self brewed "manta piss"beer, Cindy always happy at the Malaysia booth planing her second around the world trip with Nels, Thorsten at the dive tower making sure that the last one gets the point he is not anymore with Aqualung (BTW:since 5 years) - he is now running together with Sabine and Alexander the magazine Silent World, Magic Bernd from Vienna, Gerald Nowak busy making sure his travel calendar is not exploding, Amazing Thailand Reinhard thinking where to expand to, WOW Philippines with newbees on their stand, Wolfi sunk his boat in Egypt - who cares as long Vicotria passes by and give him a smile, at Roscher`s Mr Andre glanced a view, TaucherNet turned into the smoking area (very welcome) as it was freezing cold outside.... if I missed someone email me, I can edit this story :-)

Düsseldorf
After "messe" DD`s longest bar of the world - the Altstadt - is worth the long walk from our hotel, specially that Mr Navigation Steffen guided me 2 km in the opposite direction and for this he got the clown pic here!Found the oldest house brewery in DD, their "Alt" is not the best, but the Schweinshax`n simply amazing - man, that crust could almost compete with a Bavarian one.
Never to be missed when in DD the cult bar Weisser Bär - Doro Pesch, Tote Hosen, Metallica, AC/DC, Rammstein ... Bernd we missed you there!
