5th Anniversary at Miniloc, El Nido, Palawan

Until this day, I remember how special I felt during my trip to El Nido, Palawan. I have been raving about that vacation to my relatives and my friends and have actually convinced a cousin to spend a holiday there with her husband.
El Nido was one of the best vacations I`ve taken. The resort is picturesque, the ambiance serene and the service truly exceptional. I spent my 5th anniversary there with my now fiance, Tony and we had a whole lot of fun. We went privy on an island, snorkeled in the lagoon, windsurfed (or at least tried to - there was no wind at the time we were there), rode the hobie, went caving, bottom-fished, swam with the jack fishes, did intro-dive and enjoyed every meal we had. And oh, we got a room upgrade too!
Of course, each vacation has its own highlights and mine were:
(1) On May 31, right after dinner, while Tony & I were having tea, a staff of Miniloc came out of the kitchen with a guitar and a truffle cake. And with the rest of the staff having their dinner on a long table behind where I was sitting, I told Tony "Look, I think one of them is celebrating his birthday." Little did I know that Tony set it up for me. The staff serenaded me with "Binibini" and "Grow Old With You" and gave me the cake which was so good, I even asked them to ship one here for my birthday last year. Unfortunately, they weren`t able to do so since it`s made of truffles and would melt quickly... so I guess I`ve to go back there to have a slice again. =)
(2) On our last day at El Nido, we had the opportunity to visit the infamous secret lagoon. My words cannot do justice to this part of my trip so I would just suggest you visit this when you go to El Nido. Of course, it being secret means it`s not accessible at all times so... good luck! hehe
(3) After our adventure-filled trip to secret lagoon, we were treated to a private lunch and it just made our day even more perfect. I almost, never wanted to leave...
All those who love to travel should experience El Nido. It`s the best getaway for couples and families and its perfection as a travel destination makes you want experience again!
